I am a Postdoctoral researcher at MR&O Lab of AASS since December 2018. Before that, I completed a PhD thesis in Computer Science, also at MR&O Lab of AASS.
My main research interests are Autonomous Mobile Robots, in particular:
- Map quality assessment
- Dynamic mapping (People flow mapping, Wind mapping)
- 3D Perception
- Mapping and Localization
I currently work as PostDoc in the Mobile Robotics & Olfaction lab of AASS. I am mainly involved in the research projects ILIAD; where I’m working with methods for automatic map quality assessment and building spatio-temporal models of dynamics..
I am vice chair of the IEEE/RAS Working Group for the IEEE standard 1873 for representing map data for robot navigation in 3D.
In 2018, I received a tekn. dr. (Ph. D.) degree from Örebro University. During my PhD studies I have been part of two research projects ALLO and SPENCER. My work in these projects was aligned with my research focus on building spatial models of dynamics.
I received my undergraduate education in electronic engineering at Wroclaw University of Technology. I have received there a B.Sc. in Computer Management Systems in Manufacturing (2011) and M.Sc. in Robotics (2012). During my studies, I was a member of the Student Scientific Association of Robotics KoNaR. I have also taken part in the Erasmus Programme. It gave me an opportunity to spent a year (from September 2011 to June 2012) in Denmark where I was studying at the Syddansk Universitet.
